DEVLOG: ANGERS PRISON CORRIDOR

Join 3D Artist, Brandon Volpe, AKA Sword Fox as he runs through the construction of his modular corridor. Throughout the development of Cold Comfort, we are constantly trying to streamline and optimize not only our asset count and game play experience, but also the work load. Utilizing modular solutions is key to this goal, allowing us to reuse our assets ad nauseam!

Defining game development rules and guidelines is essential for maintaining a large database of custom-made assets, and for example creating, say a corridor in our example, first before designing a building saves us a lot of time and heartache. Knowing the dimensions of the said corridor beforehand allows the level designer to plan accordingly, and then properly integrate the modular assets effectively.
